Last updated: July 15, 2026
TancoCompete AI respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how TancoCompete AI collects, uses, stores, shares, and protects information when you visit our website, run a competitor scan, create an account, subscribe to a plan, or use our competitor-intelligence services.
n1. Information we collect
Information you provide
We may collect your name, business name, business email, account credentials, billing contact information, business website, industry, location, target market, competitors, keywords, reports, alert preferences, team-member information, support requests, and other information you submit.
Free-scan information
When you use the one-time free scan, we record the submitted business details, email address, scan time, scan status, and technical identifiers reasonably necessary to prevent duplicate free scans and protect the service from abuse.
Technical and usage information
We may collect IP address, browser type, device information, referring pages, pages viewed, feature usage, timestamps, diagnostic logs, cookie identifiers, and security events.
Payment information
Payments are processed by third-party payment providers. TancoCompete AI does not store complete payment-card numbers. We may receive transaction identifiers, billing status, plan, renewal date, and limited payment-method details.
n2. How we use information
We use information to provide competitor discovery and monitoring; generate AI-assisted analysis and reports; operate accounts and workspaces; enforce plan limits; process subscriptions; send service, billing, security, and intelligence notifications; respond to support requests; prevent fraud and misuse; improve the platform; and comply with legal obligations.
n3. Competitor and public-source information
The service may process information available from public websites, permitted APIs, public feeds, search providers, review platforms, and information supplied by users. Customers are responsible for using the service lawfully and respecting applicable source terms, intellectual-property rights, privacy rules, and contractual restrictions.
n4. Artificial intelligence processing
Information you submit may be sent to configured AI providers to generate summaries, comparisons, opportunities, threats, recommendations, and reports. AI-generated output may be incomplete or inaccurate and should be reviewed before business decisions are made.
n5. Cookies and local storage
We may use essential cookies and local storage for authentication, security, preferences, theme selection, session continuity, free-scan status, and service operation. Optional analytics or marketing technologies should be used only after any consent required by applicable law.
n6. How we share information
We may share information with hosting, cloud, email, analytics, AI, search, monitoring, security, customer-support, and payment providers that help us operate the service. We may also disclose information when required by law, to protect rights and safety, during a corporate transaction, or with your instructions. We do not sell personal information for money.
n7. Data retention
We retain information for as long as necessary to provide the service, maintain legitimate business and security records, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce agreements. Workspace owners may delete certain records, and account deletion requests are subject to required retention periods and backup cycles.
n8. Security
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organisational safeguards, including access controls, encrypted transport, secure credential handling, logging, and account-isolation measures. No system can guarantee absolute security.
n9. Your choices and rights
Depending on your location, you may have rights to request access, correction, deletion, restriction, portability, or objection. You may update account information, notification preferences, and subscription settings from your account. Requests may require identity verification.
n10. International transfers
Service providers may process information in countries other than your own. Where required, appropriate safeguards should be used for international transfers.
n11. Children
TancoCompete AI is intended for business users and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children below the minimum legal age in their jurisdiction.
n12. Third-party links
The platform may link to competitor websites and third-party services. Their privacy practices are governed by their own policies.
n13. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as the platform and applicable laws change. The updated date will be shown on this page.
n14. Contact
Privacy questions and rights requests can be submitted through the TancoCompete AI contact page or the support contact configured by the site administrator.
